Getting started
What can I use Sanguine for?
Plan your day and keep useful information in one place: appointments, routines, notes, contacts, photos and medication instructions. You can use it for yourself or to help someone else.
Can I use Sanguine in a nursing home?
Yes. The planner can organise activities, visits, appointments and family communication alongside established care. A custom version can also be discussed for a nursing home or senior living community.
Ways to use SanguineHow do I begin?
Choose Get started and sign in or create an account. Your planner opens to today. Choose a time to add an appointment or plan. You can fill in preferences and other details later.
Get startedDo I need to pay?
Everyday Sanguine is free to get started. You do not need a payment card. A custom version is discussed and priced separately.
Where are Home and Log out?
They are at the top of your workspace. Home opens the Sanguine website. Planner takes you back to your calendar. Log out ends your signed-in session.
Planning your day
Can I keep a to-do list?
Yes. Choose To-do list from your planner. Add a task, with a due date, details or the person handling it if useful. Mark it complete when it is done. You can edit it, archive it or restore it later. To-dos are separate from calendar items and do not need a time.
Open to-do listCan I choose a different planner design?
Yes. In Settings, open Planner design. Choose Slate, Ocean, Editorial, Citron, Rose or Colour block. Your choice is saved for your workspace. Larger text and higher contrast are separate choices. You can also choose a design when preparing a PDF.
Choose a planner designCan I show who is handling an arrangement?
Open the calendar item and choose Who is handling this? (optional). Add a person or service, then choose Needs arranging, In progress or Confirmed when useful. For a repeating item, you can change just one date or the whole repeat. These details are visible to people with plan access; entering a name does not grant access or send a message.
Can I keep ride details with an appointment?
Yes. Open the calendar item and choose Transportation (optional). Add who is helping, pickup details and whether the ride needs arranging, is being arranged or is confirmed. This saves your notes; it does not book a ride or contact anyone.
How do I show a preferred contact on my planner?
Open Contacts, add or edit a person, and choose Show as a preferred contact on the planner. Save to show their name and available call or email buttons. Clear that choice to remove them from the planner. Adding a contact does not give them access to your account.
How do I add an appointment or routine?
Open Planner and choose a date or time. Add a title and time, then Save. Leave Repeat on Does not repeat for a one-time appointment. Choose Every day or Selected weekdays for a routine.
Can I change just one day?
Yes. Select the item in Planner. For a repeating item, choose Only this date or The whole repeat before saving your changes. You can also remove an item from the schedule.
What does Mark done do?
It records that you marked today’s activity as done. A caregiver you have allowed to view activity can see that record. It does not tell Sanguine whether a task was actually carried out.
Will I get reminders?
In-app reminders appear while Sanguine is open. You can choose email for eligible calendar items under More details. Scheduled email delivery is still being checked, so do not rely on it for urgent reminders. Text-message reminders are not connected.
Can I speak instead of typing?
Notes and Describe it instead have voice entry in supported browsers. Allow microphone access, speak in English, then review the words before saving. Voice entry uses your browser’s speech service. You can always type instead.
How do I make the text easier to read?
Open Settings, then Text size, timezone and notifications. If you have not chosen settings yet, use Optional reading and care settings. Choose larger text or higher contrast, then save.
Open settingsWill medication instructions appear on my daily plan?
Medication records and calendar items are separate. Save the instructions you already have in Medications. Add a calendar item if you also want it on your daily plan. Sanguine does not recommend doses or change treatment.
Helping someone and staying connected
Can a caregiver receive activity updates?
Yes, if both people choose to use them. The account holder allows activity access and in-app updates in Connected accounts. The caregiver then opens Updates and chooses which connected accounts to follow. A new update can appear when the person records a check-in or marks a scheduled activity done. Updates refresh about every 30 seconds while Sanguine is open. They are not phone notifications or emergency alerts.
Can I help someone who does not have a login?
Yes. Choose For someone I help. In People I help, select Add someone you help and enter their name and timezone. You manage their profile from your account. It does not have a separate sign-in.
What if they already use Sanguine?
Choose Connect with an existing account from People I help. They must approve your request before you can access the information they choose to share.
What can a family member or caregiver see?
For a connected account, the person using Sanguine chooses the permissions. They can allow help with plans and care records, viewing activity, or both. An approved connection also allows messages. Adding someone to Contacts alone does not give them access.
Can I stop sharing my account?
Yes. Open Connected accounts to change permissions or end a connection. You control who can help with your account.
Open Connected accountsAre my personal notes shared?
No. Personal Notes belong to the person who writes them. They are not shared through caregiver connections. Use Messages if you want to send something to a connected person.
What happens when I choose I’m doing well?
Sanguine saves a check-in with the time. A caregiver with permission to view your activity can see it when they open or refresh their dashboard. A check-in does not call anyone or send an emergency alert.
Getting help and keeping your information
Can I upload photos from my phone or computer?
Yes. In Photos, choose Add, then Upload a photo. Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image up to 10 MB. Wait for the upload message, add a title and save the entry. You can also use an HTTPS image link. Uploaded photos are stored privately and can be opened by you and caregivers with permission to access your care records.
Open photosWhere can I check a service request or read a reply?
Open Services, then My requests and replies. You can see the request status, updates shared by the team and its conversation. Open the conversation to add a message or refresh it to see new replies. Messages remain in Sanguine; they do not send an email. Service arrangements and costs still need to be confirmed.
Open my requestsCan I ask about practical help or local activities?
Open Find help from your planner. You can ask about help at home, meals and groceries, transportation, technology, or activities and community groups. A request goes to the Sanguine team. Availability, arrangements and any costs must be confirmed separately.
Find helpWhat does Request setup do?
It sends the Sanguine team a request about the service you selected. Look for Request sent. The request does not book a service or make a purchase. If you are unsure whether it went through, contact us before sending it again.
Can I print or download my information?
Choose Print or save PDF from your planner to select plans, to-dos and your own personal notes. Choose a design, A4 or Letter paper, and a text size. Select Prepare PDF, then Save PDF or Open PDF to print. Personal notes and calendar instructions are included only when selected. Care summary also offers a readable printout. Account Settings offers Download my records as a data file. For a profile you manage, use Download this person’s records in People I help. Photo links are included; the image files are not.
How do I know a change was saved?
Look for the saved message before leaving. If Sanguine says the result is unclear, your change may already be saved. Keep your draft and follow the message to check your records before trying again.
Can Sanguine call for emergency help?
No. Sanguine does not monitor emergencies or call for help. If you need urgent help, contact local emergency services directly.
Can I have a Sanguine built around my needs?
Yes. A custom version can be discussed for a family, care team or community. Options to explore include voice controls, custom AI agents and MCP connections to supported tools. The features and scope are agreed before a custom build begins.
See custom Sanguine optionsHow do I ask a question or close my account?
Use Contact to ask for help. To close your account, choose Account deletion as the topic. Account removal currently needs help from the Sanguine team.
